*I will be actively updating our Fundraising progress here as the Lord provides.
Short Update on our 2-week teaching in Dagupan
We have finished our 2-week teaching of BELT (Bible Education and Leadership Training) to the 32 God-loving participants here in YWAM Dagupan. They are all hungry in understanding the Word. It has been a wonderful journey with the them as they discovered the beautiful Redemptive Story of God's Love from Genesis to the Gospels (mostly by themselves as we assisted them). We had fun times doing dramas, discussions, and many creative ways to learn the Truth from the Bible.
(More info about our BELT seminar here. More info about our school, Bible School for the Nations (BSN) here.)
Second Location - Kalinga
YWAM Kalinga invited us to do BELT seminar there before going to Vanuatu. We will be there from Jan 22 to Feb 4. I believe God has a great calling for the tribes of Kalinga to go to proclaim the Gospel to other tribes in the world. We are just a small part of the hundreds of God's servants sent to encourage the Kalinga warriors to sharpen their Sword which is the Word of God (Eph 6:17).
Fund Raising for Vanuatu (Third Location)
Our schedule for going to Vanuatu will be on Feb 5 (teaching there for 2 weeks).
Our location will be in Banban and Boombua in Santo Island, Luganville. (where the first missionaries to Vanuatu landed)
According to our host, the practice of witchcraft is still common in that area and churches in that area are on the decline.
It seems the kingdom of darkness is thriving in the area where we're going.
Our team is determined to go there and challenge the kingdom of the enemy (2 Cor 4:4) with the Truth that sets people free (John 8:32).
Even though raising the funds seems impossible (Luke 18:27), we all still have the strong and clear impression to go and we all have peace that's clearly from the Lord (Philippians 4:6)
Airfare Fund
Our airfare ticket for each person is 80,000 php (1,600 USD) . That is a total of 560,000 php (11,200 USD).
I have 37,800 PHP (701.7 USD) for my contribution in this fund. (Someone committed to fund the remaining amount for my round-trip ticket if the total is less than 80k PHP and my team can go).
Team has raised: 182,928 PHP(3,400 USD).
We are still lacking: 377, 072 PHP (7000 USD) for our team.
Ground Fees Fund (Food, Accomodation, Local Transportation, Ministry)
Each of us also have to raise 28,000 PHP (519 USD) each for Ground Fees. 4/7 of the team are already fully paid in their ground fees.
I have already fully paid my contribution.
Why support us?
We will go to Vanuatu to wage war against what the enemy is doing (John 8:44) by bringing destruction to his kingdom built on Lies through the proclamation of God's simple Truth fully revealed in Jesus Christ (2 Cor 10:3-5). I believe that any endeavor by the church to tear down the works of the enemy makes any investment worth it. We will also go there to be a part of the strengthening and encouragement (Titus 1:9) of our brothers and sister there who are battling daily the forces of the enemy.
