Trip Back Home to Mindanao
It’s been almost three years since I went back home to Mindanao, where my relatives on both my mother’s and father’s sides reside. I’ve been praying for God to continue ministering to my relatives while I serve Him far away, and this trip showed me that God has been constant in ministering to them. There are now fruits from our years of prayer.
YWAM Philippines National Leadership Consultation
My trip to Palawan to spend five days with YWAM Philippines leaders has been fruitful. I see that God has entrusted YWAM Philippines to a capable, trustworthy, and faithful group of people. The focus of the LORD’s message is: “Personal and Corporate Justice through Personal and Corporate Accountability within YWAM.”
YWAM Philippines National Media Team
Years ago, when I was developing the YWAM Philippines website alone, I prayed for a team. Now, God has raised a team of creative individuals who will take part in making God known through media (photography, arts, videos, etc.). I committed to the website development part.
Bible School for the Nations 2026
The BSN was canceled due to a lack of student applications. We did our best to prepare, but students who expressed interest also expressed difficulty in raising funds. Although the BSN team felt disappointed, we are at peace with what happened.
Base Construction Projects
I was partly helping in the construction of gazebos and a gate here at the base, headed by Kuya Roland Paralejas. He did a wonderful job making the front yard a good place for students to eat their lunch in peace.
Loakan Connection
Years ago, before the pandemic, we had a weekly ministry at the base where students could come and hear the Word of God. It stopped during the pandemic but has now been revived. We have around 30+ students, from preschool to high school, coming every Friday to have fun and be taught God’s Word.
Pongian Community Church
This March, our Pongian Church celebrated its 5th anniversary here at the YWAM base. The base was so full that we even ran out of rice. I reminisce about when it was just starting, and there was one Sunday when only kids came. Now, the church has grown so much that we had to hold the celebration at the base because our Pongian location cannot accommodate everyone.
FUTURE PLANS:
April 2026 – I will visit Meriam's Village and stay there for about two weeks or more. Please pray for provision and God’s guidance in our preparation phase.
May 2026 – I will be going to the Northern Luzon Regional Conference. There will be a change in regional leadership, and I wish to be there and be part of the process. I will be announcing a new team regional role for me after that.
June 2026 – This will be a preparation phase for the base for the upcoming Discipleship Training School. I will be a base support staff, helping in the kitchen and with other miscellaneous needs.
July 2026 – Start of the DTS.
August 2026 – Preparation for the Word by Heart School, which I will be staffing.
September 2026 – Start of the Word by Heart School.
November 2026 – Big move to YWAM Abra. I plan to move to Abra after the wedding. I will write more about this soon. Please pray for me and Meriam.
December 29, 2026 – James and Meriam’s wedding date. YOU ARE INVITED.
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 New International Version
