This was last month, May of 2020.
We were almost finished distributing the remaining sacks of relief goods (also praying for each of the families visited.) My knees were already shaking in pain when one lady asked me to go to a family who wasn’t able to receive any of the goods. She led me away from my team and we went to a house up a cliff where a senior citizen couple were living.
The old lady began praising and thanking Jesus when she received the relief goods. She also began proclaiming blessings to me and the team as I left.
Out of over a hundred families that I met, she’s the only one who did this. That simple worship and releasing of blessing brought joy to my heart, affirming my faith that this simple help we were doing is all worth it.
if you pour yourself out for the hungry
and satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
then shall your light rise in the darkness
and your gloom be as the noonday.
Isaiah 58:10
