Last 2019, before the pandemic, a family opened their house for Bible studies. There’s more than twelve of them in that family (the family of 5 plus 7 other relatives). They’re few houses away from the family whose house was renovated a few months ago (story here).

During the Pandemic 2020 Lock-down in Baguio, they asked our team to restart the Bible studies as they see the need for the Word of God, especially during the pandemic time.

We Bible studied with them every Saturday evening for a few weeks (following health protocols) but had to stop when the number of attendees grew (in compliance to the health protocol of allowable number of people that can gather).

While praying for a place where we could safely gather, the family offered the vacant lot beside their green house. Ministry partners gave financial help so that we can build a temporary shelter where God’s church can gather.

While our team was building the shelter, we continued to minister to the family and many kids in need of God’s care and comfort.

As of September of 2021, the church service is already ongoing. We started the church service last March of 2021.

We are teaching the kids every week (around 30 or more). We also do feeding program once a month.

Adults, teenagers, and kids are really hungry for the Word of the Lord.

Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. Psalm 50:5

Update: As of 2025, we already have:

• a handful of child dedications,

• two batches of water baptisms,

• our kids in the kids ministry are now teens, and we have a weekly youth night service on Saturdays,

• one wedding,

• one church outreach,

• teens and parents who are now helping in the church service (worship, prayer, etc.), and

• God has also faithfully provided for the successful heart operation of one of the Pongian teens.
