This was in 2018.
We were in Pakak, Kalinga doing our Discipleship Training School (DTS) outreach.
We went to a neighboring tribe to do open-air evangelism.
Before the program started, we went from house to house inviting people to come and watch. We met one old lady who was cleaning her garden. She said she won’t come in our program. We asked if we can pray for her and she said yes. She asked if we could pray to God to send rain. She needs the rain to soften the garden soil as it’s very difficult to till the ground when it’s dry.
So, we prayed for rain. The tribal young people with us laughed at our prayer. It’s been weeks since it rained in the place, and the current weather is so hot and dry and there’s no clouds.
The rain did not come right after we prayed.
After we finished the open-air program that evening and safely returned to the church, the rain came.
It rained for 3 days.
That was my first-time experiencing God’s supernatural power affecting nature.
And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
Mark 4:41
