Support Staff for the DTS

Serving behind the scenes

We are now down to the last five weeks of the Discipleship Training School (DTS).

Every weekend at 6:00 a.m., I go with two other staff members or students to the market. We help Mardie, our kitchen manager, buy and carry the food needed for the whole week. It has been fun to serve in this simple way.

As support staff, we also help in the kitchen with cooking and cleanup, and with base maintenance—cleaning, fixing things, and sometimes working even in the rain.

It is simple work, but it is part of serving. We are here to help wherever there is a need and to do whatever we can to help the school run well.

Team 4 Regional Leadership for Northern Luzon

Serving the region as a team

Prayer and Fasting

In response to God’s call for us to fast and pray as a region, the leaders and staff of YWAM Northern Luzon gathered at YWAM Baguio for a day of fasting and prayer.

God’s presence was very real that day. I felt His presence so clearly and strongly. It had been a while since I had experienced God in that way.

As we fasted, worshipped, and prayed together, I believe God brought a spiritual breakthrough in that room. One of the elders also confirmed this.

I am excited and looking forward to what God will do in our region in this new season.

Word by Heart Staff

Trusting God’s direction

The Word by Heart school in Baguio, where I was preparing to serve as staff, was canceled last week.

The school requires a minimum number of students one month before it starts, but we were only able to have three students.

Although this was not what we expected, I am trusting God’s direction and timing. I believe He knows what is ahead and where He wants me to serve.

Moving to Abra

Stepping into the next season

I am now planning to move to Abra after November 7, which will be my 10th anniversary as a YWAM Baguio staff member.

As the date gets closer, my heart is at peace. I am grateful for the years God has given me in Baguio, and I am trusting Him for this next season.

Wedding

Preparing for our covenant together

We are now in the process of contacting our Ninongs and Ninangs (primary sponsors) who will become part of our spiritual family—people who will guide, support, and pray for us throughout our married life.

So far, the wedding preparation has been peaceful and relaxed. We are enjoying the process and trusting God with each step.

God Provides

Celebrating God’s faithfulness

Here is an update on how God has faithfully provided for the needs I shared a few months ago:

  • Prescription Eyeglasses: I broke my glasses last January during a leadership meeting in Palawan. Thankfully, I can still use my old glasses, but they sometimes cause migraines. (50 USD) (God provided on the day this was posted)

  • Laptop: My 9-year-old laptop died last May 2026. Thankfully, with God’s wisdom, I was able to repair Meriam’s broken 6-year-old laptop. I have no idea how long this laptop will last, but I certainly need a new one. (Second-hand units range up to 400 USD, and brand-new ones range up to 1,000 USD.) (I was able to fix my fiance’s defective laptop which I’m now currently using.)

  • Travel Ground Fees: God has faithfully provided for my round-trip tickets to V and Mindanao, but I still need ground fees for those trips. (God has provided for the ground fees this week)

  • Wedding: God has faithfully provided over 1,000 USD for the wedding. Praying for more to be able to feed all those who will be coming.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6
